Herbal Medicine for Stress & Anxiety

Come and learn about herbal medicine used for stress, anxiety & tension! How can herbs help with anxiety & stress? As an acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese medicine, I feel like the heart of many of our imbalances come from stress – usually long-term, untended to anxiety, stress & tension which leads to other imbalances. Herbal medicine can give us wonderful tools to help us cope with emotional, physical and environmental stressors! A lot of the herbs we will talk about are nervous system relaxants, which means they help you get from that “fight-or-flight” mode to “rest and digest” which can help with tension, pain, digestion, sleep, anxiety and more (plus they just taste good!). Come and learn about a handful of herbs to help you feel calm, centered and more relaxed! We will talk about Chamomile, Lemon Balm and Milky Oats to name a few and we will also learn about preparation methods such as tea versus tinctures and ways to incorporate them into our daily lives. If you have never taken a class on herbal medicine before, you are still welcome to attend! We will have a Q & A portion too. For an additional cost, you can contact me for a list of herbs to pick-up so that you have them on hand to smell and see (or I can give you a list beforehand to go collect on your own!).
