My Story & Credentials

Moonlight Medicine was founded on the idea that our bodies naturally want to go back to balance. My logo with the herbs growing in moonlight was inspired by the taijitu, or Yin-Yang symbol, which is a continuum - yin and yang are never without each other. I look at our mind, body & spirit balance similarly, that we need both light & dark to heal. So much healing is done in darkness: think of the plants that grow, how your tissues repair while you are sleeping, how we become stronger and more resilient after times of hardship & pain.

My treatments aim at getting you back to balance! I treat using acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, so we may also do cupping, gua sha, use herbal medicine therapies and make changes to food & lifestyle habits as needed. I like to treat your main concern first and then get to the root cause. I am very communicative and also love to work with other practitioners and refer out as needed.

I studied Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine (now Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine) and received a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  My studies included Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, various bodywork methods (Tuina, Shiatsu, cupping, gua sha), nutritional therapy and Chinese translation.   I have also studied Western herbalism with various teachers over the last 10 years, have worked for 8+ years in herbal apothecaries, have supervised herbal medicine shifts at SIEAM, taught at Middle Way Acupuncture Institute, tutor students and I am a Registered Herbalist through the American Herbalist’s Guild. My personal work & interest is deeply rooted in plant spirit medicine, folk magic and spiritual work.

I specialize in pain management (acute and chronic), mental health/emotional concerns (stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief/loss, trauma), Cosmetic acupuncture (Facial Rejuvenation), digestive and LGBTQIA+ health, but am open to seeing all!
